my first day as a blogger!

So, I'm officially a blogger now. I can't believe I'm actually sitting here, writing this first post. It's funny how something can feel like a huge step but also like totally natural at the same time. I've had the idea of starting a blog in my head since I was just a little girl, all alone with the thoughts of how much I loved make up, beauty, high-fashion, pop-culture and all things in between. But to actually bring all those thoughts to life it took a little push to actually make it happen. It took the thought of "If I don't start speaking out about my passion for fashion and all things beauty to help other people get confidence to do the same, when will I?" And now here I am, writing my very first entry.

Honestly, I had no clue where to start. I kept asking myself: where do I even begin? I mean, there's so much to think about--what platform to choose, what to write about, and even how to get people to care. I still don't have all the answers, but the first step was just to get started, right?

I knew that I wanted to focus on something that excites me, so I've decided to write about the things I love--fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and maybe a few random bits here and there. But then came the second big question: What kind of content should I create? I didn't want to just do what everyone else is doing. I wanted to find my own voice and share what truly interest me. So I decided to go with content that feels real to me, stuff that I'd actually want to read or talk about with my friends over a couple blood orange martinis.

Then there's the whole trend thing. I couldn't help but wonder: What trends are hot right now, and which are old news? Honestly I didn't want to be stuck chasing after every new trend. Sure, I'll throw in some trendy posts when it feels right, but I think the most important thing is staying true to yourself. Like if you didn't like Halle Berry's Christian Siriano gown at the 2025 Oscars, that resembled a disco ball, you don't have to pretend to just because everyone else did. Moretime, what I'm trying to say, don't change your views on something (ESPECIALLY fashion) just because of someone else. YOU are YOU and that is all that matters, infact that is your best outfit and it looks good on you. There's no rush to jump on the bandwagon just for the sake of it.

I'm still figuring things out--how often I'll post, what kind of style I'll keep, and what kind of content will resonate with you all. But I know one thing for sure: I'm excited to see where this goes. This is just the beginning, and I'm looking forward to sharing more with you as I grow in this little blog of mine.

Here's to starting this journey--and who knows what tomorrow's post will look like? Stay tuned!
